Here are a few testimonials that we received from people who have either bought, tested or tried Perfectone. As you will be able to read, the testimonials are quite compelling.

To Perfectone Manufacturer,

I received my unit this weekend and promptly began using it. I am very happy with it and am amazed at all the different functions on it and how good it sounds. I can tell the exercises on it are going to improve my ear tremendously. I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about improving their ear.

To whom it may concern,

I feel a congratulations are in order for you remarkable idea in the context of aural training. Your Perfectone invention has pleased me so much over the past few months with its ability to devlop my ear. I have found my general musicianship improving alongside my aural skill and am so happy with the musical enlightenment that i have achieved from experiencing product. Once again thank you ever so much for creating such a satisfying product for musicians everywhere. It's a rare thing.

I have been using the Perfectone all day today, and I have to say I like it.

This has got to be one of the most innovative instruments for ear training that has ever been invented. This device is great. It's all the things that your web site says it is plus more. It's worth the money that you are charging for it. I used to sit at the Piano and play the chords and intervals etc. and listen to them. I also recorded chords and intervals on a cassette tape one time, and I would listen to them, but with Perfectone I no longer have to do it the primitive way.

Everything that a serious musician can ask for to help train his or her ear, is in the Perfectone. It's wonderful that someone came up with something modern to help with training for musicians.

I like my Perfectone so much that last night I fell asleep with it in my bed.

Thank you for sending me the printed instructions, which I just received. I really appreciate it!

I am sending them on to my nephew who lives in Kiev, Ukraine. My sister in law showed this clever device to my nephew's violin teacher and she thought it was wonderful!! My sister in law is going to try to translate the instructions into Russian.

You don't sell these in Russia, do you? Thanks!

My name is Line Rioux and next September I will be entering my fourth year in the music bachelor offered at the University of Moncton. My interest in music began when I was just a little girl and I have been working at it ever since. I took singing lessons that taught me the technical things that I needed, but I ignored the importance of sight singing and theory. During my first year of University I noticed that there were many things I didn’t know and should have learned at a much younger age.

At the end of that year I was surprised to see that I had passed my sight singing and dictation class. Those two classes did not prepare me for the years to come. My second year was dreadful. I had a very difficult time passing a test, because I had a lack of theory and I was out of practice. By the time my teacher tried to help me it was a little too late since I had already lost so much confidence. I was completely discouraged because I thought nothing could save me now. My sight-reading carried me through the semester since it was in the high 80s, but my dictation never hit the 30s. I finished my first semester with a very low mark of 75%, which automatically showed that I would fail my second semester. During that semester my test scores were so low that I dropped the course and decided to continue attending every class to help me improve. Well that didn’t really help because I retook that first semester course and finished with another 75% mark and then I really was at my lowest. I thought there was no more hope until I heard about the Perfectone.

One of my teachers approached me one day and asked me to be part of this great experiment and of course I would have done anything to improve this class. I brought the Perfectone home with me that day and I started working right away. I took the time to really understand it and then I created my own tests so I could see my improvements. I became at ease with Perfectone and I had few difficulties with it. It took a little time to get used to it but because I took the time and did it right I was able to fix many of my dictation problems.

I was impressed how easy it was to use. I practiced 4 different exercises during fifteen minutes each and every day. One hour of the Perfectone a day helped me bring my dictation grade from a 47% to a 75%. I was very thrilled at the end of the year because I thought I was a lost cause. I thought it could not be done but now I realize that with a lot of practice and the perfect help everything is possible. I am very happy to say that next year I will be practicing with the Perfectone and I will keep working hard to continue bringing up my grades. Thank you!

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Kurt Warren Habelt. I am a Berklee Alumni, lead guitarist for the rock band Siege and a local session musician with 20 years playing experience. I recently had the pleasure of trying out PerfectTone, a portable ear training device. I found it very easy to use, although l would probably need more time with the device to fully master its functions. Still, I was "up and running" after only 10 minutes or so of playing with the buttons.

The thing I loved most about it was being "quizzed" on the various intervals - minor 2nds, perfect 5ths and so on. It was also helpful to listen to these intervals being played in various timbres – brass, woodwinds, etc. A portable ear training device is something that is definitely needed by today’s musician "on the go". I remember taking the MBTA to Berklee every day and using this spare time to hum intervals to myself.

If I had the PerfectTone during this time, I most certainly would have used it on the train and carried it around in my backpack for impromptu sessions. I definitely think there is a market for this device and look forward to the day when I can purchase it at a retail store like Guitar Center or through a cata1og like Musician's Friend. Sincerely

- Kurt Warren Habelt

To whom it may concern,

This is a letter of support for the ear training device Perfectone by Samgo Innovations Inc. On May 29 2002, I was given a full demonstration of this device by Dr Samuel Gaudet and I was very impressed with its capabilities.

I believe it has great potential to aid music students in training their ears; The small portable device provides versatile exercises which give the user flexibility in setting the level of difficulty and in the choice of 127 different onboard MIDI instrument sounds to work with. I believe that Perfectone has the potential to benefit serious ear training students of all ages and that it would be a valuable learning tool, both to individual users and in the classroom as well. Sincerely,

I have examined the Perfectone by SamGo Innovations, and consider it to be a welcome addition for the music educator and music student.

Its comprehensive series of drills in aural skills will help the basic student reinforce new concepts easily and quickly, and importantly, over time. More advanced students may also find this appliance a convenient way to sharpen their skills or review basics for mastery. Using a progressive approach, the Perfectone's software provides the user with continuous and consistent prractice in recognizing intervals, chords, scales, melodic patterns and harmonic progressions. It is like an immense collection of audible flashcards. The device's chief advantage is convenience: as a stand alone, miniature, self. contained unit it is independent of other platforms. It iseasy to use even without documentation.

Under battery power and with headphones it can be used almost anywhere. I would recommend it as a supplement to any musical ear-training course' at the elementary or basic level. In my estimation the device has a promising future.

To Whom It May Concern,

After having spent some time working with the Perfectone hand-held ear training device, here are my thoughts about the device: The advantage to the Perfectone device is that it is hand-held. I'm not aware of any other hand-held ear training products in the market.

I think it would have appeal to the typical 'rock and roll' consumer (that is, musicians used to employing effects boxes and headphones) looking to improve their musical skills. Music students in commuting situations would also find it useful. As far as the exercises that were included, the set is sufficient for music students, and to meet most ear training needs. In particular, I was pleased to find the scale degree drill - these are most helpful to my way of thinking, and often left out of ear training packages. Sincerely yours,

To whom it may concern

This is to evaluate the PerfectTone Ear Trainer. I am impressed with its ability to train the ear of new and advanced music students. It has quite a range of possibilities plus the compact size makes it attractive to music students. One can gain perfect pitch through the use of this equipment.

I would recommend the use of this equipment for music schools or simply training the ear of the student for \various forms of music

At MTNA 2004 I got to play with the prototype of a new concept in ear-training. The Perfectone (Samgo Innovations) is the first portable ear training device. In a compact case about the size of a portable CD player, the Perfectone lest you train your ear while you’re away from your computer, piano, or other musical instrument.

With headphones, you can drill notes to achieve perfect or, at least, relative pitch. In addition to drilling notes, you can work on intervals, chords, and scale degrees. You can choose between classical notation (V – I) and jazz notation (G7 – C), and test your skill at melodic and rhythmic dictation. The sound quality is excellent and the instruments are programmable. In the Introduction to this book, I talked about my first computer experience and how private the learning process was. That's what appeals to me about the Prefectone - the learning is done in private.

Ear-training has never been my strong suit, but with this gadget my skills improved quickly. You can choose how many options you will have in any given drill: if you're studying intervals, limit yourself to major third, perfect fifth, and octave. By gradually adding skills, mastery can be achieved in no time. Event without a manual, I was able to drill away immediately; the Prefectone is simple to navigate. I'm sold.

Progressions, intervals and chord quality identifications routines are great!!!! (Felt like I was back in the classroom being tested).

Progressions followed the rules of classical theory. Compound menu excellent. Score function is great. Saving savings worked flawlessly (Really like the fact that if you started learning only some intervals those only could be chosen). It allows you to really start where you left off. Menus are a breeze to navigate. Instruction manual is straightforward and well written. Overall I would easily recommend this ear training device.

I myself made significant progress in the 40 hours that I used it.
